Monkeypox (MPX) Information
In the summer of 2022, the U.S. saw its first cases of the monkeypox (MPX) virus. MPX is not new, but until now, outbreaks have only happened overseas. The virus has since begun spreading across the country.
In the U.S., cases of the MPX virus have been seen mostly among men who have sex with men. But it can spread to anyone, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
On this website, you can learn more about:
- What to know about the MPX virus
- How to get the MPX vaccine at Equitas Health
- Testing info
- How to get care
- How to fight the stigma around the MPX virus
Equitas Health is working with state and local health offices to get the MPX vaccine. The vaccine rollout in Ohio is in its early stages. We want you to be in the know about when you can get the vaccine at Equitas Health. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get up-to-date info on the vaccine.
